NEET full form National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) (NEET (UG) exam is mainly conducted to fill medical and dental seats in 549 MBBS and 313 BDS colleges, AYUSH colleges in India.
National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct NEET 2020 on July 26, in pen and paper based mode. NEET application form 2020 has been released on December 2, 2019, and can be filled till December 31.
While the total seats (both AIQ and State Quota) are mentioned above, the MBBS seats in India state wise are mentioned below along with the BDS seats for each state. MBBS and BDS seats (85%) are through the state counselling which a majority of students apply as per their state of eligibility.
A total of 16.84 lakh candidates will be appearing for NEET UG entrance exam. For better medical and dental education in India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) introduces single entrance examination namely National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – full form of NEET. All the candidates who have applied for NEET 2020 shall know that NTA will release the NEET admit card 2020 15 days prior to the exam. Candidates who qualify NEET UG exam will be eligible for 15% All India counseling quota seats conducted by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), on the other hand, counseling for 85% state admissions and private institutes organized following by respective state admission committees.

Suppose, you have scored Rank 50 in NEET and the total number of students appeared are 6,00,000.
The percentile will be: [600000-50)/600000] X 100 = 99.99
You need to get 50 percentile for admission in Medical/Dental colleges.
Tie-Breaker for Determining Merit List
In case 2 or more candidates obtain equal marks then their order of merit rank will be determined by considering the following factors in the order of priority:
- Marks obtained in Biology in NEET
- Marks obtained in Chemistry in NEET
- Total number of wrong answers
- Higher in age
- If a candidate wants to appear for NEET, the very eligibility for them is to be a citizen of India.
- Aspirant age must be at least 17 years as or on December 31 of the year of admission.
